Oscar Piastri claimed his first podium finish of the season at Monte Carlo 2024.
The Australian driver is one of the rising stars of F1® and showed why with an assured drive in the McLaren F1® Team car. He started the race in P2 behind Leclerc and secured that position from the start, holding off Carlos Sainz in P3 despite reported damage. Though Leclerc led from start-to-finish, Piastri pushed hard and secured his first podium of the season. It is unlikely to be the last for the talented 23-year-old.
